The Road There
From Geneva, the route runs the A40 motorway (the Autoroute Blanche) directly up the valley, past Cluses and Sallanches, to Chamonix. This is the shortest and most direct of any Alpine transfer Vezzora runs.
Lyon is a longer, less common alternative, joining the A40 further south near Annecy.
The A40 can be affected by snowfall closures at altitude in severe weather; Vezzora's vehicles carry winter tyres and chains as required.
Arriving in Chamonix
Chamonix town and the surrounding villages (Argentière, Les Houches, Servoz) are reachable by road year-round; there is no car-free centre or shuttle stage.
Vezzora drops you directly at your accommodation's address in Chamonix or any of the valley's villages.
Weekend Travel
Chamonix is not in the Tarentaise, so it doesn't share the Three Valleys' Saturday changeover congestion on the N90. The A40 can still be busier on peak Saturdays in high season; allow some extra time and check traffic before you travel.
