The Road There
From Nice Airport, the A8 motorway runs directly to Monaco, normally 30–45 minutes. In July and August, and on Friday and Saturday evenings, the same drive can take up to 90 minutes as coastal traffic backs up through the tunnel approaches into the principality.
The Moyenne Corniche or Grande Corniche, the two roads above the coastal motorway, add around ten minutes but pass Villefranche-sur-Mer, Cap d'Ail and the first views of Monaco from above. Ask for this route when booking if you would like it.
During the week of the Monaco Grand Prix, typically late May, the principality closes significant sections of its road network for circuit construction. Journeys during this period should be booked as early as possible.
Arriving in Monaco
