From Chambéry or Lyon, the route runs the A43 and A430 past Albertville, then the Tarentaise valley road through Moûtiers and Les Belleville to Val Thorens, at the head of the valley.
From Geneva, the drive follows the A41 and A43 past Annecy and Chambéry before joining the same route through Albertville and Moûtiers.
Val Thorens is the highest and furthest resort up its valley, so the final stretch is the longest sustained climb of the Trois Vallées access roads. Winter tyres or chains are compulsory equipment in the Savoie department in winter; Vezzora's vehicles carry them.
